Ilam Baptist Church meets at 10:30 on Sunday mornings in the Ilam School Hall, 66 Ilam Road, Christchurch.

This worship service can have very different flavours from week to week, but over all we hope to express our shared values, which include being relevant, being grounded, sharing life, and being engaged with local and global communities. Ilamites seem to enjoy wrestling with ideas and asking difficult questions.

Younger Ilamites are important members of our church community. For part of Sunday morning there are special music times, and programmes for different age groups. There is a creche available for the under threes, and ‘Galaxy Club’ for children over 3 years of age, and up to year 6 of primary school. Galaxy Club continues to evolve, because we are currently exploring how we, as church, can help people of all ages to gain a sense of belonging, share different gifts, and make meaningful contribution to the world as participants in the great unfolding story of God.
