- Ilam Baptist Church Office and Community House. 51 Ilam Rd.
- 9 – 10.15am. A Reflective Service followed by coffee and hot cross buns.
Easter Sunday. Waimairi Beach Dawn Hui and Service
- Location; Broad Park, Waimairi Beach Playground carpark off Broadpark Rd.
- 7.30am. For the early birds. Join together on the beach opposite the playground carpark for karakia and sunrise watch, then head off for a walk along the beach, a bike-ride in Bottle Lake or your belated morning coffee. “Salt on the Pier” cafe in Brighton is open on Easter Sunday. Brighton Beach house is closed.
- 8.40am. Fire up the bbq’s. (Let Sean know if you can help.)
- 9am. Breakfast. Select from bbq’d fish, eggs, bacon and spinach on muffins, hollandaise sauce, lemon juice and some other toppings provided.
- 9.30am. Gathering for karakia, waiata and community reflection. Our text for the day will be John 20:1-14. Take some time to read it beforehand if you’d like to.
- What to bring. Warm clothes, Kit for walking or biking if you need it. Picnic blanket, plates, cups and cutlery. Bring along your own coffee and tea. Flasks could work a treat.
- NB. If the weather is foul or dodgy, we’ll put up a message on Ilam’s FB page and meet at the Ilam Primary School hall at 9am. Bring your picnic blankets, plates, cutlery.
